Q: What time is church worship?
A: Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 11:00am.
Back to TopQ: Where is Babcock Presbyterian Church?
A: Our address is 8240 Loch Raven Boulevard, Towson, Maryland 21286. Check out our directions page for more in-depth help.
Back to TopQ: How can I get the latest church news?
A: "Like" Babcock Presbyterian Church on Facebook! Our page is updated daily with news, pictures, and information for our members.
Back to TopQ: Do I have to be Christian to come to your church?
A: Of course not! All you have to be is someone with an open mind and open heart. We accept people of all backgrounds at our church!
Back to TopQ: What is the dress code?
A: We have none. Some men prefer to wear coats and ties, some women wear dresses, but most of us dress casual. So it’s up to you.
Back to TopQ: Where can I park?
A: You can park in front of the church and on the side streets. In addition, we're working on a new parking lot.
Back to TopQ: Are children and infants allowed in the sanctuary?
A: Certainly! Children can sit with their parents until they are called up front for the Children’s Sermon. Afterwards, the children can go back and sit with their parents, or go to the Carpenter’s Workshop--a fun Sunday School class that’s concurrent with our first service.
Infants are also welcome, however, if your baby gets restless and YOU feel uncomfortable, we have a nursery with large plate glass windows, wired for sound, overlooking the sanctuary.
Q: Is there childcare for toddlers?
A: Yes! A paid staff member is on duty from 9:00am until the conclusion of the 11:00am service.
Back to TopQ: Does your church provide music?
A: Each Sunday at 9:00am, we have a dynamic praise band with singers. At 11:00am we have our magnificent organ and choir. (Yes, we think our choir is magnificent, too!) God has blessed us with gifted and talented musicians and singers to lead us in singing our praises to God.
Back to TopQ: Is Babcock Presbyterian liberal or conservative?
A: Honestly, we don’t try to label ourselves, except to say we try to put Christ at the center of who we are and what we do. Some may call themselves “liberal” or “progressive,” others may describe themselves as being “conservative” or “moderate,” but all of us value each other and our diverse viewpoints.
Back to TopQ: Is the pastor available to non-members?
A: Yes, you can reach Harry Cahill by calling 410-825-3314 or e-mailing him at hcahill@babcockpc.org.
